Parental Treasures

It is enough to plant a good idea in the hearts of those you love, so that, after the rebellion of youth, they may recognize the truth and have a root to return to. These are parental treasures, bestowed upon descendants by conscientious parents.

Young people leave their parents to find their own path, far from home, as my grandmother often reminded me. Yet after all their struggles they return to simplicity, for in their now-mature hearts the teachings echo. Even if their parents have left the physical world, they live in their children’s hearts more vividly than ever and offer comfort. Only then does the relationship become complete.

On a hill in the town of Musberg, two young people dressed in traditional costumes stop at their father’s grave, take out their instruments, and play a joyful melody to express their gratitude. Among the strings whose sublime vibrations make the sky tremble, a tear slips down; one of them puts his instrument aside and sits on the grass, head resting between his knees.

Their beloved father is present in spirit and conveys, through their feelings, that they should care for their loved ones until the great day of blessing.

From our parents, we learn the lesson of autumn, the stage of spiritual maturity. Earthly life, brief yet full of meaning, is the trial God sets before us. Society tempts man with its lures and threats, seeking to draw him away from his essence and to corrupt him.

Dear ones, let us remember that we are good, beautiful, and precious. We are skilled, have the strength to work, and countless opportunities. The current conditions of life are favorable, and for a truly honest person, restrictions are superfluous. The ability to rise, to adapt, and to advance along the earthly path is an inner power.

Life is a miracle, and the surrounding world is beautiful and good. It was created out of love for us. Every person carries within them both hell and paradise. The polarity they let run free will grow and dominate them, and their own deeds will either judge or elevate them.

Every decision, no matter how small, shapes your destiny. If you wish to become an honest and good person starting tomorrow, you never will. Be good from the very moment the thought arises within you, for salvation is not scheduled; it is conquered through unwavering will, just like the Spiritual Kingdom.

Imagine an autumn sunset admired with an open heart; a fire by which you warm yourself alongside your loved one, or the starry sky that nourishes your faith. Visualize the joy of childhood, when you first admired the snow.

Just as you once knew that you were good, beautiful, and precious, and that you carried God’s light within you, you can do the same today to overcome your weakness. The simplicity that satisfied you, the complex nature that fascinated you, and the mystery that inexplicably nourished your soul. Enthusiasm would steal your sleep, as you eagerly savored everything you loved.

Towards Maturity

Trips with the family were the most important moments. The struggle against the snowdrifts that made your walk difficult on blustery evenings remained etched in your soul. So did the fun of sledding. Otherwise, you would not feel the text, nor would you be able to affirm it.

The longer you delayed coming to dinner, the tastier the food seemed. In the end, you would fall asleep with your soles pressed against the hot stove, listening to enchanting stories or watching projected slides on the wall.

Even a plant comes to life within the inner reality of an active spirit. Reason pales before love that unites with creation and reveals its secrets to you. The first humans to live on the planet, in the form we know, mastered nature and the animals through the love and respect they expressed, not through force.

Man slept under the open sky, in the shade of the trees, without being exposed to danger. Above him, butterflies danced in admiration, and the animals protected him as if he were God Himself, as they perceived him.

Do not allow anyone to belittle you, and do not beg for validation. Know yourself, cast off your worldly identity, and believe in yourself; step forward and be what the world has never seen before.
