Vain Generations

On Earth, you find peace in thinking that life is short and that suffering will come to an end. If you have been an honest and good person, you will leave content, knowing that you have absorbed the lessons meant for you and that you have made your contribution.

Last week, I asked a question on Facebook and received a lot of comments. Most people said that if they knew they had only one month to live, they would spend more time with their loved ones and pray more often.

This should not be understood to mean that, without the verdict, they would be indifferent to their fellow humans or to God, but their obligations do not allow them to be present all the time.

Good man, if you were to do for yourself what you do for others, you would be rich, valued, and loved. Learn to refuse those who have shown they cannot control themselves, who make the same mistake a second and third time and continue. Living with humility does not mean drinking the poison that everyone offers you.

Sometimes, stupidity seems out of control, and brutality knows no bounds. The only way to move forward is to forgive them in the Name of God. He forgave the world before you. Even if, for the material man, what I have written are just words, the one with life experience finds comfort in truth.

Ferice de cei care pot plânge, căci a lor este sănătatea sufletului, fericirea și simțământul. Pacea li se așterne pe fețe odată cu mulțumirea că au dat totul și că, astfel, și-au atins scopul. Își înalță spiritele, iar atunci când vine timpul, își lasă trupurile.

Reality shows us that in man there is no longer depth nor a trace of compassion. He has ceased to manifest the divine refinement he inherited. The unspiritualized soul is nothing but a polyp that instinctively absorbs everything it encounters, whether good or evil. It does not discern or reason, but only consumes, driven by the same desire that was expressed through the first giant animals that lived here.

Yet, the most perfect creature of God was not meant for this kind of behavior. Man is a superior being, endowed with the power to cleanse what is impure and to live a remarkable life.

Be confident, no matter the situation, and the people who once laughed at you will come to love you. You know that, aside from your family and a few good souls who support you unconditionally, the world is a mess. Yet do not let your environment change you, transform it yourself.

You, who are reading my words now, are fighting a harder battle than those absorbed by the world, who not only do not resist evil, but adore it and practice it.

Wasted destinies

I have met young people with financial power, who could have bought entire neighborhoods. Talking with them at the table, I realized not only that it had never occurred to them to make someone happy, but also that they do not know how to live. Despite the selfish love they practice, they are unhappy.

In childhood, we would gather every evening in front of the apartment building, boys and girls, to drink alcohol and amuse ourselves at the expense of one of us. Usually, we laughed at the weaker and shyer ones, taking turns.

The jokes were coarse and foolish, often with sexual overtones. If humans did not have physiological needs and did not reproduce in the usual way, we would have been extremely bored teenagers. The desire for recognition, pride, and recklessness dominated, and even our parents had never heard of education.

Looking back, I regretfully realize that more than half of my acquaintances have lost their way.

Innocence was born in the countryside. Dark cities kill the inner light and steal a man’s joy of living. A light rain pattering on the tin roof, the smell of smoke and the flowers by the window, the simplicity of the grandparents I loved; the fact that I am here and inspiring you is a miracle whose author I am not.
